over now long way down (love letter)

I started this in ableton note. I did a test arrangement with vocals. The lyrics are inspired by two musicians. First is kurt cobain, he wrote a verse (in breed) and mixed up two words. built a tree we can plant a house. the lyrics lock the key,, throw away the door is me copying that swap.
the second is inspired by justin hawkins from the band the darkness. he hates new music that isn’t complicated. I dedicate the chorus to him.

the song is kind of about building castles in sky with someone who meant a lot to me in the strange way. you could say we had a strange relationship. wherever you’re at m, I miss the fuck out of you. all the time. the third time better be the charm. <3

don’t you know what you know about, yeah
look around and you ain’t figured out
it’s over now, it's a long way down
lock the key, throw away the door. yeah
going nuts tryin’ to keep a score.
and I don’t know if you want this anymore.

love letter, a love letter, love letter
write you a letter
love letter, a love letter, love letter
write you a letter
