Naming a song: Peal away the window

I’ve been collecting a list of phrases and miscellaneous scraps of text that caught my ear for years now. I like using those phrases for song titles or references, e.g., “Remember, the safe word is lawyer,” or “Valiant is the Word for Carrie.”

I also try to create artwork that represents the phrases to go along with the music. One of these is titled “Peal away the window.” Peal is a reference/wordplay for the bassline, but also a homonym for PEEL.

I’m hoping folks will assume it’s a typo for peel. It’s meant to make the viewer question what is being shown to them whenever they are looking through a window. We look through windows everywhere. From our phones to the brick and mortar variety. Sometimes you have to peel away the window to really see what’s going on.
